Throughout placements I have shown understanding of the strategies to support students with additional needs, not all disabilities are visible, mentors have remarked I have a natural ability to connect with these students and have a positive impact on learning. Throughout 2022 I worked in ES to build a greater understanding of strategies. I have managed students who become overwhelmed in noisy classes, I have re-explained teacher instruction for improved student comprehension, I have modified work on the fly for stronger engagement and supported students mental health through student agency and relationship building.
