3.3 Use teaching strategies

Include a range of teaching strategies.

All students are amazing, unique individuals and it is impossible that one size would fit all. However, there are a few core teaching strategies that I believe work almost all the time. Engagement is high on the list because when we engage students they are focused and enjoying a lesson is paramount for knowledge retention. 

One of my preferred methods of engagement is to be silly and embody the learning, when asking students to use BeBono's thinking hats I sourced hats that signified the thinking styles and wore them to explain the types of thinking. This was a very successful method with students talking about the hats for many weeks afterwards.
