3.6 Evaluate and improve teaching programs

Demonstrate broad knowledge of strategies that can be used to evaluate teaching programs to improve student learning.

Improvement cycles are essential in schools, improvement cycles are a continuously reflective process that allows teachers to assess the impact of their programs. 

I have been a part of these cycles during each placement and have read extensively on the FISO model and how it can be used by school to improve student outcomes.

Whilst at Barwon Heads Primary I was a part of the PLC cycle looking at reading strategy groups, each member of the team presented a video of them taking a reading strategy group and the team reflected on what they did well and identified areas for improvement such as having distracted students write their answers whilst waiting for their turn.
