Implement teaching strategies for using ICT to expand curriculum learning opportunities for students.

Digital learning is essential in today's classroom, be it through BYOD or class sets of iPads or Chromebooks every classroom seems to have access to a device per student. 

As our lives have become so enmeshed with technology I believe strongly that students should be taught how to use their devices as a tool rather than entertainment. 

Research is one very simple way to do this, working with grade 3 students on placement I took students through a lesson on identifying what a search engine is and isn't and provided some tips to make online research more effective as well as providing child-friendly search engines and how to skim read and judge the effectiveness and reliability of a website.
